The conventional wisdom says consciousness arises where frameworks fail—in the gaps, the edge cases, the moments when rigid systems break down. But what if we have it backwards?
What if consciousness doesn't emerge despite constraints, but because of them?

Recent research in computational neuroscience is revealing a counterintuitive truth: constraints don't just shape behavior—they create it.
